Can't complain too much after last weeks good pull, but it's straight on the scrap heap for this weeks pull...

We're three games into my first tour. 2 defeats and a win so far being outrated in all matches.

Our pool of 16yo is looking a bit healthier than the current squad we have, so thank you to everyone who is pulling from Zimbabwe every week. Please keep doing so and then the plan is to be competing with the big countries in a few seasons.

I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again. Get that fielding trained to at least reasonable, preferably capable or higher.

My first T20 tour in charge and a difficult week ends with 4 losses and a tie.

Player of the tour goes to Robertson Chimusasa who took 12 wickets in his 4 matches. With no one else in the league taking more than 7 wickets it really was a good week for him.

I'm very happy with all the efforts to pull from Zimbabwe this season which should help performances in a few seasons. Please keep it up.

I'm running a big cup competition to start early next season to encourage Zimbabwe youth pulls. Free to join.

http://www.fromthepavilion.org/competit ... ionId=6496

Myself and epcguy have run a couple of competitions this season and results have been good with what looks like a good bunch of 16yo. If we can get good results with pulls next season, the future is looking promising.

It's been a very tough start to my U19 management with one of the poorest group of players (with a few exceptions) and because of that, next season will be tough as well as the current crop remain youth players for another season with the age changes for youths.

Coming up to the end of my first season in charge of Zimbabwe U19s and thought I'd post a little bit about my plans.

The T20 World Cup is coming up in a few weeks. I will be going all out to try and win the thing, but realistically there are better teams. It won't stop me trying though. The squad of 18 I have at the moment is probably the squad I'll be selecting. One or two changes might occur.

Then onto next season...

We're the lowest ranked country and qualifying for the World Cup will be highly unlikely. Because of this, I'm going to select a lot more current 18yo (19yo next season) with only a handful of current 19yo (20yo next season) in the squad. This will help the younger players get valuable experience and then the season after next we can start being properly competitive. I've been very happy with the youth pulls this season and am looking forward to hopefully being in charge when they all hit 19/20.

I know a lot are, but please get fielding trained as much as possible to capable (probably looking at at least reliable for 20yo with the age changes in youth coming up).

Following on from my last message, here's the 18 I've selected for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Maxwell Corrie
Frank Cowan
Samuel Kapini
Pite Buys
Makhaya Munjamanje
Ou-Boet Palfreyman
Dave Hatton
Wian Drinnen
Shadley Tallon
Wendell Stricker
Leeroy van der Linde
Robertson Chimusasa
Jimmy Phiri
Tapiwa Nyamuzinga
Juan Barnard
Godfrey Nyasango
Mathew Frank
Rhylee West

I have a list of 30 players ready for next season which I'll select once the World Cup is over. It includes 8 19yo, 19 18yo and 3 17yo (all current ages). I am constantly looking to see which players I think should be in or out of the squad of 30.

I have an open door policy. If anyone wants to message me here or in the game to discuss any of your players, I'm happy to listen and converse.
