Yea for sure. Sounds like we’ve had pretty similar experiences. I had a lot of success in the early days with youths. Have won the PC and T20 div 1 titles but in all these FTP seasons, since season 1, the elusive SOD 1.1 title has always been out of my grasp lol.

I had rubbish pulls consistently for seasons so did the same thing. Ignored the youth development and focused on seniors. That combined with not winning any thing senior wise caused a pretty steady descent, and left me with no money. I think you’ve got to be pretty ruthless too, when it comes to selling players. I tend to hold onto players longer than I should to make sure they become “club legends” and get their stats up, rather than sell the odd one at mid-high 20’s for mac value. Too much emotional investment

Yea, I'm not really a huge fan of how it currently works. You pretty much have to win every season in order to maintain a good solid lineup. Where as you can run your seniors to the ground, and run a youth academy and you can basically stockpile half a mil every year doing that. Seems a bit outrageous.

On another note, SOD 2.2 has kicked off to a great start, with me losing two from two (this is with keeping my "stronger" team)

I played against 3 bowlers who had wages under $5,500 each, yet took 6 wickets between them

Looking forward to tomorrow's game. Myself v Heff - it's been a while between matches. Last time was 07 Jun 2018, when we were both in Div1. Now we meet again in 2020, both in Div2.

Probably one of my most fun rivalries (challenging, because I usually get spanked).

And let's just say that winning percentage didn't get any better for me... Flogged by 90 odd runs

That’s a nice effort Muff, 12/0, about time someone stopped the Slack Caps run of consecutive titles!

Lol... yeah I've won a few I probably shouldn't have... a lot depends on who you play in the international windows.
