Bowled first, Bizzotto and McBeast were the standouts with some very tight bowling and wickets. I was quite happy with the orders we had settled on for these 2 in particular.

So following from the excellent bowling performance we had a very manageable required rate to chase.

The openers got off to a fine start and the skipper, Head, scored a nice half century. With not a large total to run down it was harder to gauge the batting effort after the opening pair.

With a tour squad to be selected by next Sunday we will be putting a fair bit into the next friendly on Saturday afternoon.
Nice to see Senior with another wicket :D - Solid start for him.

Really want you to do well mate, will be following your tour closely mate, Hope everything goes well for you.
Yes he has started fairly well. Let's hope he does well on tour shortly.

We have a friendly today, starting in half an hour, against the Dutch.

1 change, Regan in for Madsen.

A couple of minor changes in the orders given this one is on a cloudy/flat.

Tune in and see how we fare.

276 on a cloudy/flat was a bit less than we were hoping for.

No "standouts" in the batting with all bar one getting a start, unfortunately only one of those managed a half century and got out not long after.

With such a total not being a formality to defend we were passed with 8 balls remaining.

Regan picked 4 later on to give the match a closer appearance, while McBeast was the most economical.

Still some work to do.

Yeah 276 wasn't enough but good to see we pushed them to the 49th over before they won
Still some work definitely but good signs nonetheless

We played Pakistan on an Overcast/Uneven.

Bowling first we had 3 bowlers be quite economical with Antill the best picking up 3/33.

Our bowlers didn't pick up enough wickets given the conditions and orders.

In the batting we tried a couple of players in different roles and only 1 came off with there being only 3 bats to get into double figures and having to carry the load.

All in all it wasn't a too bad result as we went down by only 6 runs against a very similarly rated team and most importantly we have learned more about a few of our players.

Hope you bounce back strong :)
My thoughts exactly, at least we won the toss

As stated, not the start we wanted, however I have said a few times that this is a long journey and last night was but the first step.

4 changes for tonights team, it's on an Overcast/Flat so hopefully we can win the toss again and post a decent total.

Well we won the toss again :clap

and at 1/0 and then 2/19 I thought I'd killed a black cat under a ladder.

Anyway we have managed to post a very respectable 3/333

Now, lets hope our bowlers can produce the goods and defend that.

Cheers eb,

Yes I was quite happy to wake up this morning and see that we were able to defend that. I thought Senior played his role to perfection in the bowling also.

Again 4 changes for tonight and another flat, fingers crossed we can back it up but I am less confident as we manage fatigue.

That would have to be the worst batting I ever saw on a flat
Kudos to Scotland but that is an aberration

Yes well.

I think the word we are looking for is insipid.

So we are 1-2 with shocking NRR, I think it goes without saying that we'll be throwing everything into the final 2 games.
