An up and down week for us sees us finish 4th in division 1, however a few highlights for the week as follows:
  • - Ned Regan with a massive score of 155 not out leading us to a win over Kenya and the #1 run scorer for the week in difficult batting conditions.

Gday all just a wrap up for last weeks twenty20 tour, with pitches falling in our favour with a few weather conditions as well the pressure was on to perform. At the end of the week we finished 4-1 which was enough to see us take out the title.

Game1 we had a 9 wicket win over India with Ramon Gilby taking 4/14 and Meera Reed 42 not out the two outstanding performers.

Game 2 we took on the much fancied Sri Lankan team and pulled off a 29 run win. Rick Menegola 4/30 and Matty Bulman 65 had outstanding games.

Game 3, outstanding performance from Gordy Gotz 3/26 and Matty Bulman 68 seen us have a good win over the West Indies by 69 runs

Game 4 was a nail bitter against South Africa which we prevailed by 8 runs Tyler Minton 3/37 and Scratcher Lappin 59 helped guide us to victory

Game 5 seen us come up against the tournaments hosts Netherlands, contributors were not as stand out in this game hence the defeat we had. Rick Menegola 3/35 and Scratcher Lappin 25.

All in all it was a consistent effort from all players selected in the squad which is why we finished the week 4-1 Thankyou to all the assistants for your input this week and to all the managers for giving us the quality player we were lucky enough to tour with

Hi all,

Sorry for the delay in posts but wanted to quickly touch base at the start of season 44 with a season 43 wrap up.

The end of season has seen us retire Ramon Gilby, one of our best and most regular starters for the past few seasons. An absolute gun fast bowler and one of our most consistent performers even in his last tour.

The twenty20 World Cup started promisingly with 3 wins in the first 3 days, however luck didn’t do us ant favours towards the back end of the week and a disappointing last day meant we didn’t make the semi finals. Well done to Grizzle however who has taken over the twenty20 team responsibility and has won 7 of his 9 games in charge selecting teams and tactics.

Thanks to those who have touched base already with training plans etc for the new season in game and please keep reaching out if you have a player you want considered for selection or advice for training.

Thanks for your support and letting us borrow your Aussie stars in season 43 and lastly thanks so, so much to Crowie and my assistants for all your hard work and contributions in season 43. Looking forward to a big season 44 and the opportunity to defend our SOD WC crown!
