If you put in a fair bidding war then I'll pull Bermuda again next week... :whistle
It is frowned upon to make valid points about someone in a position on power that show them off in a negative light.

It's just a suggestion, but it might be useful if Jamillar (17yo's) and / or Valkorum (16yo's) actively engaged with the Youth Pulls thread to give training advice, etc.

There have been a few unanswered questions posted and presumably it is in the national team's interest to help us develop these players the best we can

Just a thought

I am happy to give advice where I can (and when I have time). My time is taken up mainly with work and family.

Why would you tour a player, and not play him in a single game?

The kids had a game yesterday against the Aussies and put on a show. Highlighted by one of the best all round games you'll find in FTP by Oliver Nethersole who hit 94 off 83 balls and then went on to take 6/13 which is a new record for the Bermudan kids in the one dayers. Other notable performances were Henry Kennedy (76) who anchored the innings and also Leslie Smith (46) who was brilliant up the top. With the ball Edmund Westmaas was the only other bowler to take a wicket collecting 3/22.

Played the Dutch yesterday in a friendly and got a fair spanking. Batting first on a crumbling deck we could only manage 135 with our two openers Phillips (40) and Duncan (41) the only two to really get going as they put on 83 to start our innings. After that we had an awful collapse losing 10/52 which included 7 blokes getting 1 or less. With the bowl we couldn’t emulate their performance only taking the two wickets and going down in the 33 over. Wrist spinner Tibbles Frank taking both wickets.

Not my best pull ever by any means, but neither the worst: primaries are okish for a 16yo but fielding is dreadful; though the up side is that you can improve the fielding because it is a gifted talent which quickly develops at 16. Hence...I clicked on "Sell player" for 0$. Perhaps he can be of any use at a better youth academy

Affiliate came to the party again, nice leggy with the talent to match. Unfortunately for me don't have the academy at this stage to get the most out of him so I hope someone can grab him and I can see him again in season 40 :thumbsup

N. Bicknell (rf) 8-0-22-2, S. Jam 1 (2b), S. Wasim 11 (20b)
End of over 30 (2 runs) - Pakistan U19(91-5) RR 3.03

First tour game of the season on Uneven/Humid, Bicknell has 2 wickets while the rest of the bowlers have contributed with tidy economy rates and also picking up the odd wicket.

Bermuda U19 Pakistan U19
Batting - Top Order 7,984 7,485
Batting - Middle Order 6,913 6,640
Batting - Tail 4,215 3,894
Bowling - Seam 6,919 (40) 6,845 (40)
Bowling - Spin 8,263 (10) 7,438 (10)
Fielding/Keeping 7,997 7,512
Overall 132,162 125,541

Win number 1 on the board, after a 4 wicket win. Bowling first we restricted them to 202 that got pushed out a bit by their 7th wicket partnership who batted extremely well. Bowling wise Bicknell was great with 2/26 off his 10 overs and all bowlers contributing with a wicket each. With the bat we made it a harder chase than it probably had to be as the youngsters got tired, Kennedy anchoring the innings and top scoring with 53, Bridgemohan brought the game home with a run a ball 43* to close out the innings with Hendricks doing great at the other end for a bowler making 24*.

Tomorrow we move onto the USA in the same conditions :thumbsup

Loving the resurgent 'muda, good work all.

Having a good season of pulls so far with 2 decent 16 y/o Bermudans each for my main and affiliate already; hopefully see them all in the u19 scene in a few seasons 8)

Keep up the good work, lets get a promotion under our belts
