So game 1 is done and dusted with a win over New Zealand, batting first we got 253 after a bit of a slow start. Davis, Russell and Trocard all chiming in with solid knocks through the middle order. With the ball Skeete bowled well in favourable conditions finishing with 2/37 but the pick of the bowlers was McLean with 3/31 off his 10.

Bermuda U19 New Zealand U19

Game 2 is also in the books with a 5 wicket win over the Dutch. We done a good job with the ball restricting them to only 136 with Burnham and Greenidge taking 2 each while going for 2 runs an over while Joesph took 3. We made tough work early for ourselves with the bat starting at 2/9 and showing some worrying signs before Jemmett and Lawrence dug deep and put together what turned out to be the match winning partnership we required.

Netherlands U19 Bermuda U19
Batting - Top Order 7,605 7,562
Batting - Middle Order 6,337 6,745
Batting - Tail 4,387 3,802
Bowling - Seam 8,177 (10) 8,180 (20)
Bowling - Spin 8,313 (40) 7,749 (30)
Fielding/Keeping 7,625 7,484
Overall 133,235 130,692

Onto to Ireland tomorrow in a big clash who also sit 2-0 at this stage!

A win yesterday took us to 3-0. Restricting Ireland to 222 on a green deck after some good bowling from Joesph and Prince who both took 2 wickets set us up for a reasonable chase. A decent opening partnership was crucial but after losing both openers shortly after their 50 partnership it did look worrying. Although Crawford played out of his skin for his match winning knock of 80 forming a great partnership with Bloomfield who took us to the win.

Bermuda U19 Ireland U19
Batting - Top Order 7,312 7,572
Batting - Middle Order 6,934 6,913
Batting - Tail 4,323 3,346
Bowling - Seam 7,505 (40) 6,917 (40)
Bowling - Spin 7,438 (10) 7,217 (10)
Fielding/Keeping 7,710 7,655
Overall 130,547 125,835

Also today’s game is currently going, chasing 172, had them on toast at 7/99 but national games are never that easy so we have to work hard to chase down probably 30-40 more than we would’ve liked.

H. Parfitt (rfs) 2-0-6-0, C. McClean 2 (7b), J. Trocard 13 (22b)
End of over 23 (1 run) - Bermuda U19(64-5). 109 runs required from 27 overs. RR 2.78 RRR 4.04

Currently sitting in a pretty precarious position in today’s game! Need our AR’s to get something going with the willow.

End of over 43 (7 runs) - Bermuda U19(155-7). 18 runs required from 7 overs. RR 3.60 RRR 2.57

Two wickets in the last couple of overs has turned this into a nail biter, hoping we can hold on!! :thumbsup

So in a tight finish we won by a wicket! Trocard played a mature innings and guided the team home with his 61*, he and McClean’s partnership was good to watch and much needed! Redhead was great with the ball taking 4, Cumberbatch and Burnham also good with 2 each.

Bermuda U19 England U19
Batting - Top Order 7,335 8,161
Batting - Middle Order 6,670 6,578
Batting - Tail 4,483 4,816

Bowling - Spin 7,671 (30) 7,758 (30)
Fielding/Keeping 7,766 8,215

Sorry for the inactivity the last few months had some dramas in RL so I apologise for not doing my usual updates after our games.

T20 WC is currently on and we are sitting 1-1 after the first two games.

We play the UAE tonight (13:00 FTP time) in what is a crucial game if we are to make the semi finals - http://www.fromthepavilion.org/gamedeta ... Id=4639950

Wish us luck :thumbsup

Had a nice win last night, bowlers done a great job just strangling their bats keeping them to 5 an over while only taking the 3 wickets. With the bat a nice innings from Harris ensured we never fell behind the RRR and we got the job done.

Bermuda U19 UAE U19
Batting - Top Order 8,512 7,111
Batting - Middle Order 7,462 7,721
Batting - Tail 4,786 4,524

Bowling - Spin 9,009 (12) 7,901 (12)
Fielding/Keeping 8,258 8,036
Overall 144,839 136,077

We move onto the undefeated Aussies in a couple of hours in another big game! http://www.fromthepavilion.org/gamedeta ... Id=4639954

Won our game last night bringing us to 3-1 with the last game to play against Sri Lanka which is in a couple of hours! Another must win game in order to qualify for the semi finals.
Our bowlers once again done a good job restricting their batsmen even though they didn’t take many wickets they didn’t allow the total to get out of reach. Parris was great with the bat getting 72* and playing a match winnings innings along with a timely 42 from Bloomfield.
