Well the 1st tour of season isn’t far away now and the squad has been selected, thanks to all managers who’s players have been selected. There’s a few new faces in the team with Ali, Fattah, Zakiyy, Ahmad, H Qasem, Rashid and Turk all making there Senior National debut. Dry, Crumbling and Sticky are the pitches so will be a challenge for the batters.

Tour 1 Summary
A disappointing 1st tour going 0-5, the tour included 2 many batting collapses and poor bowling performances
Game 1 vs USA - Lost by 123 runs
Overall poor bowling performance with lack of wickets led to a total to big for the batters who lost wickets in chunks under pressure and only managed 101 runs
Game 2 vs Pakistan - Lost by 3 runs
Good start to the game having Pakistan 5/50 before letting them make 208, batters started well to get to 5/186 until losing 5/19 in a disappointing collapse
Game 3 vs Canada - Lost by 24 runs
Terrible bowling performance giving up 284 runs on Dry, batters played fairly well but didn’t score quick enough falling short
Game 4 vs Bangladesh - Lost by 2 wickets
Batters started extremely well on sticky getting to 3/109 before losing 7/34 to finish on 143, bowlers couldn’t defend the total
Game 5 vs New Zealand - Lost by 68 runs
Decent bowling performance giving up 178 runs, batters started well at 2/77 before losing 8/33 to finish up on 110
Squad for the T20 tour will be finalised this Sunday, will most likely be a similar squad with similar pitches

Below is the squad for T20 tour, have gone with a bit of a future with a mostly younger team while not really compromising current ability. Rashers, Saad, Ooohood, Vidic, Sameh, Hassan and Jaber will all be making there Nat debut.

I would like to welcome marsmarwan to the UAE Nat Team. As can be seen from his thread he is an old player returning to the game and it’s great to get another UAE supporter
