Keeping Issues!

Post by wolfberries » Tue Nov 19, 2019 9:30 pm

Does anyone else think Keepers miss far too many changes in FTP? I've thought this for many seasons now and after today's England game its really been brought to ahead for me!

Our WC summary Keeper missed five from six changes in today's game! As an OK keeper in RL I would be pissed if I missed five changes in a season!

Yep, generally a WK would drop maybe 1-2 chances maximum a game (and they would have to be pretty tough).

I had a game a couple of weeks ago where the keeper missed a stumping and dropped two catches and they were the only misses for the innings from memory. Dropped catches are a regularity even at international level but rare for a WK.

I think he has a long way to go to be in Gilly's bracket

Gilchrist was incredible, but I reckon De Kock is already better, then again they are playing on far flatter tracks in limited overs these days than what was the case 10+ years ago.

Gilly well ahead in tests, both close in OD and QDk ahead in t20 so not sure you can say he is better already
Like I said best to measure it in a few years

You put a All time world team together and Gillys first choice keeper easily. I’m a fan of QDC, but he’s got a way to go especially in test

Actually I might make a thread so we can name our all time XI for test, then look at doing others later on
