Im kind of surprised at the market right now, I know the markets slow, youth squads are pretty full with 20 yr olds and 17yr olds a kind of falling by the way side but is the 17yr old market just shot to pieces at the moment?

I wouldn't be using this thread to fish for bids but that's just me.

I'm just not looking at the youth market, in any case.

The youth market is a bit more quite this season due to the age increase where teams are just continuing with the squad they had last season, but it should pick up again next season.

If the player does not sell, just hang on to him, continue to push him then list him again after EoS.

If you really need money I suggest swinging something more high level.

I dont need money at all. I'm sitting at over 7mil.
I need him off my team more so but I don't want him going to some div 5 team who will waste bis potential in a non existent academy either.

@cynic I'll delete the player but the conversation still stands for it's own merit. The market is dead at the moment

17 have struggled ever since yp were made to be all 16yo
They have never really recovered
Same will happen to 18yo now the age inc to 20yo
You need to sell at 16 or wait till 19 or almost 19 at the very least

Same happens in seniors for the majority of the time
Everyone wants 20yo or 24-25plus who can play straight away, then the 30yo short term market

Probably because they're poorly trained through the ages inbetween, or lacking experience.

yeah there is reasons for it, some people just want ready made players and can't be bothered to train their own

I'm more than happy to train my own but you need something to start with. And the 21-25 market is totally bereft of quality. Stone dead it is.

Hence my sell off with my main and starting with lesser 16yr olds that no one else wants. I've seen crazy money on 16yr olds that I don't think are worth anywhere near that. So I'll start with ord and avg and work them up from there. Eventually I'll settle on which 16-18 youths I want to keep and they will play pretty much every game for me in every league since I'm at the bottom in SL anyway and there is no rush to go up since we'll just get slaughtered by those that buy 30 yr olds anyway.

I know I'll never get back to the top again now so it's time to enjoy the new changes and have some fun with the game again.

decent profit

Post by eagles123 » Sun Feb 02, 2020 8:49 pm

chucked these three on the TM for imo joke amounts just to see if anyone bit ... well ...

1. http://fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=1810864

okay, not the best but bought at 27 for 160K, now at 30 sold for 147K so not a profit but would expect more of a depreciation between 27 and 30 ...

but these two!

2. http://fromthepavilion.org/player.htm?playerId=2008155

bought at 21 for 25K, sold at 25 for 275K!

3. http://fromthepavilion.org/playertransf ... Id=1921187

bought at 24 for 5K, sold at 28 for 350K!!!

the transfer market truly is a madhouse right now!!

I am not so sure if you can call it a madhouse...

Cup is reaching crunch time with most of the weaker teams already knocked out and tours have started where top level teams need those extra players to fill in.

I had to check that I wasn't the crazy person that bought them. Wasn't sure how recent the sales were. Anyway, wasn't me. As you were.
