This guy got left out this tour, will have accomplished power at the end of this season.
Not that highly skilled, unlikely to get to world class primary like most of the younger ones will.

Yes it is. It appears the fast bowling stocks are much better than fast-mediums, I could name several potential F bowlers but possibly only 2 useful U25 FMs (Dutta, Sarkar?).
There are 3 FMs that are in favour of him now (for T20s and maybe ODs), Razzak is clearly the best of them and should've toured each time rather than one of the "fill-ins".

So...promotion in T20 with a game to spare, and off the bottom of the rankings!
And all achieved with the worst average match ratings of all the teams in the division!

Remarkable achievement!

Has somebody sold their soul to the  ?

I sold it long ago when I started listening to N'Sync. Yes, that long ago.

I'm quite pleased and depressed at the same time. We won promotion but at what cost ...

Season 17

A lot of background work has begun in identifying players for these next 2 seasons and beyond. The squad will undergo changes in the next few days before a final squad is to be settled by the end of next week. It is likely that most of the older players will be dropped for some younger players that are pushing selection and top of their respective age groups.

I have started posting in an Association that was created some time back now: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). It is a place for avid Bangladesh supporters where all information can be found regarding the Senior team such as players and selections, plus some other extras. You do require FTP membership to join though in some cases it can be arranged to be bought. Either see myself or plabon to join.

There is also one assistant position remaining that I would like to be filled. I am looking for more of a seasoned manager that is within the Bangladesh leagues and/or a supporter of the team and its players.

I am very excited to know that we are going with a younger player mentality rather than getting old players. I am also excited to se how these young players go. I think that our side is a very good side and will take us through more of the WC than last year.

I am too, that's where the strength lies and the areas where the improvements will come from. Some of the older players may prove to hold their worth this season to help guide to where we would like to be. A few of the younger players do lack a bit of experience which are on the fringes because of it, possibly partly due to them being ignored but will see if they do get that chance.

The question is do we go with these more fringe types to aim for a more balanced team that will give us greater improvement, or a few more of the better players that aren't likely to improve as much and have close to peak experience. Something to weigh up and possibly go with a slow phasing approach as I am not a fan of too drastic changes.

An U25 squad as been identified and the managers have been notified. The overall squad is starting to take shape as season expectations are being formed.
