WI's Youth Pull Comp (S.39) EOS Pull Prizes

Post by desert7 » Thu Jan 24, 2019 3:03 pm

In the coming days/weeks I hope to sort out the season 39 EOS West Indies Youth Pull prizewinners. Hopefully a list of winners for each category will be listed for the categories:
- best 16yo LH batsmen at EOS
- best 16yo RH batsmen at EOS
- best 16yo KB at EOS
- best 16yo Fast bowler at EOS
- best 16yo FM bowler at EOS
- best 16yo M bowler at EOS
- best 16yo Wrist Spinner at EOS
- best 16yo Finger Spin Bowler at EOS

I hope to pay all prizes out by Mid Feb to Mid March, but I need prizewinners to reply to let me know their choice of prizes ASAP.

Sometime after that list is FINALIZED the best 16yo overall player at End of Season (EOS) - picked from 1 of the above 8 players will be announced...

A provisional list to be picked from may be listed first for each of the 8 categories, before it is finalized...

OK all results are now final (except KB), subject to training conditions

***** FINAL*****

Fast Bowler:
- Delbert Frazer is the winner (has a lot going for him with skills and talents)
- Farqurharson gets a very honourable mention on skills (needs fielding)
- Fletcher deserves a good mention on skills, especially for playing lots of games
- Cordel Khan has very useful skills/talents (needs to be playing games for experience and has maybe already been overtaken by Fletcher in the pecking order)

FM Bowlers:
Not a great lot TBH and one of mine is arguably best, but I'm gonna split the prize between 2 others
- Kendrick Martindale is going bowling route and could be our best FM
- Norman Gopaul is decent
- Andrew King/Shimei Hurley duo in same ownership are fairly decent. John Gilchrist, Michael Logie and Osmond Luke were reasonably close and have a little potential for future (though unlikely to make u19 squad)

Medium Bowlers:
Very difficult category as theres a lot of quite diverse candidates (reasonable bowling needed or average with big bat/talents) Anyway another split prize:
- Uton Jemott (best pure bowler if gets experience, NEEDS FIELDING)
- Marlon Patrick (AR?, needs fielding)
- Mervin Hannays, Derek Holt, Akito Ramatour, Robert Hunt, Bam Boyack and Delmont Gibbs all close...

Wrist Spin Bowlers:
- Kieron Mendonca is a fairly clear choice
- Nigel Robinson deserves a good mention (needs fielding)
- Imran Maginot also very decent

Finger Spin Bowlers:
- Eldine Jones is best (manager may also have next= best in Layne)
- Elliott, Mauricette, Butler (badly needs experience) Lendore, Goodman, Bennett, Austin and Gittins deserve a good mention. There are many others who are decent also...

KB:
- Randall Sadaphal MAY be the pick (subject to conditions though)
- Michael Seaforth/Angus Browne is right up there (manager already getting an EOS prize and got another earlier so prefer to share out prizes)
- there are other possible good prospects, but not definetly going KB yet

LH Bat:
- Ryan Shallow is a very deserving winner (owner pulled Seaforth also, so manager is overwhelming winner)
- Michael Seaforth deserves a very big mention (although going KB route) [same ownership/puller as Shallow]
- Ellis Williams is also worthy of mention
- Terrence Williams could be big (needs fielding)
- Alexander Dumas is good
- Courtney Elwin is interesting (but badly needs experience)

RH Bat
- Colin Mohan is a clear first
- Quite a few others deserve good mentions including Foster, Gomez, Haddaway, Francis, Linton, Stewart, Headlam, KB's (or possible ones) amongst others

***** FINAL*****

Please don't reply about prizes yet until this list is finalized. Thanks :thumbsup

FS: berksowl
KB: Maybe TomLundy subject to training regime until EOS

OK just the overall winner to go now. I just need to have a good think about this to make sure we get it right. There's a possibility it could be split like some of the individual prizes. The FM's are not good enough and berksowl (as part of the u19 management) will be excluded from getting this prize...

The winner is: Colin Mohan - congratulations DJFrancis007, 1 years FTP membership with 100 credits will be yours :clap

Not an easy decision, but Mohan has so much going for him:
- Big batsmen with power
- Already average experience
- Spin Specialist
- Will progress fast also
- Will be our main captain
- Likely he will be our most valuable player at Youth level

Thanks to all who those who pulled WI's last season (and who continue to do so) and don't forget season 40 EOS prizes can still be won with pulls until this EOS - so keep pulling WI's :thumbsup

Apologies again for the delay in paying out weeks 4-7 prizes will hit your accounts in about 2 weeks when I'm fully sorted...

As for Season 39 EOS prizes - winners can now post which prizes they want. Those not subject to conditions will get in about 2 weeks also :thumbsup

NB: KB prize is still to be confirmed

OK prize winners I need to know whether you want membership or credits?

I need all of you (except DJ as overall winner) to reply here ASAP as I want to sort prizes out as soon as given all the delays...

I am going to try to remedy those not sorted out to date ASAP...

I know DJ has been fully sorted and a few others, but I know berksowl and maybe a few more still are yet to get prizes...

I'm still waiting for a number of organizations and an individuals to pay me what they owe me basically. Until then I'm doing little better than just getting by myself. Once I'm financially ready and have a bit of time membership/Game credits will be going out to those remaining...

With corona virus uncertainty, work situation and car repairs last week I'm gonna have to postpone this yet again. I'm still waiting for several companies to pay me what they owe me also. It will happen it's just when...
