Season 42 Youth Pulls Bragging/Training Advice/Etc..

Post by desert7 » Tue Sep 03, 2019 9:26 am

OK another season is upon us, so don't forget to pull your WI's youths every week. We need all the good pulls we can get. WI's has a smallish community of youth recruiters, but the upside is your pulls are more likely to make U19 squad than in many countries...

We **MAY** have a West Indies youth pull competition again this season, but that depends on a lot of things, so its less than 50% chance as of now...

Also remember that all pulls will be 16yo this season...

Post your pulls in this thread to brag about gooduns, lament on rubbish, ask for training advice, etc :thumbsup

Sorry mate, I won’t train him as keeper, he will be an AR/bowler. I just pulled a better keeper candidate, so he will be my wk instead:

Very nice pulls verdi :thumbsup

Alleyene (26k) would be a much better KB than Finlayson. He will train faster with his gift/higher tech and he has a great talent for a KB, just needs a bit of endo training for 0-7weeks maybe. Finlayson may look better KB now, but he needs a lot of bat/bat tech training and will be 3-7k lesser KB than Alleyene at 19 EOS, but maybe much worse long term. It would be terrible to train Finlayson on KB only- he would be a very very good donkey KB, much better the usual tat we see (because he's big to start), but still keeping way too far in front of tech and batting...

Finlayson does have a skill which is very relevant, but his biggest plus is as a LH bat - however that's nowhere near enough to make up what could become a huge difference between the 2 players. Finlayson however may just make up an equal AR to Alleyene as he does need fielding to capable, which could pop his tech and I suppose with 4k spare there's a good chance...

I know its not easy to see that as things stand, but I've given Paul0774 (The Tourists) similar advice about Michael Seaforth and he will be our number 1 KB this season for u19's. So ckeck with him if you want some reassurance that he was happy with any advice...

Just pulled this lad. Sadly, I think there's no room for him in my academy so I may sell...
