So close yet so far! Was a good performance in the end by our lads to put us in that position but just not meant to be. We look forward to the chance to promote next season. Thanks for the support guys :party

Great result today simmo, making it look easy.

I dont think everybody can always understand how challenging, frustrating and unrewarding the national scene can be at times. All the teams are good and all the managers are very very good, and sometimes it comes down to the role of the dice and for some reason, I don't think the ME likes SA that much. :doh

I know from personal interaction with you that you are doing a great job and will soon start to reap the benefits. Keep your chin up and thank you for your service.

ps. wanted to put a smiley but there is no salute smiley
Appreciate that Chrisgold. Thanks for the support 🙏

Thank you for the information.

What concerns me is that we have no WS for next season...

I have an 18yo coming through with my affiliate, but I am not sure how close he comes to the desired standard.

That RF AR should really be pushed to try and make the squad.
You are correct that is a concern with no obvious WS option good enough but that is what we have to work with. We monitor the age group below it and if they are of good enough quality then they will be a chance

We were unlucky not to promote, congrats on qualifying for the World Cup. Something for the squad to get excited by.

None that match the requirements I set out earlier.
There are wristies, but they are a little lacking and might struggle to make the side. I (personally) don't believe in playing a wrist spinner who is weaker than all other possibilities, just cause they are a wrist spinner.

This could all change with training. This just gives you (the wider population) a picture of our potential future strength, and if you have a guy you think is close, that we appear to be missing, contact us about him.

Hopefully we can work towards overcoming this in the future seasons. Some info like werdo is supplying each week combined with a suggestion for those recruiting SA to seek particular player types might help. Discussion on the topic definitely will. From my previous observations there are some clubs that have a good history of scouting excellent players for SA and they can probably assist in this area.

Hi guys
With the EOS fast approaching, we have decided that during the EOS break we will be releasing a best XI of each age group. So at that point in time it will be 17, 18 and 19yos. It's a subjective exercise that will likely create some discussion and interest, but the idea is to give a general look at how the age groups are progressing and which players are our best (at that time).
As always thanks for supporting SA and good luck with your early season recruiting.
Thank you
Management Team
