I am just shocked to have even managed the tie as Blaze is a very strong team, but I am wondering if I would have been able to pull of the win had I batted 2nd...

With those sort of stats you sound like a stalker
He isn't expecting to get passed Dan on Sunday but who knows
I assume if he does he will buy some reserves to help out

Thats the million dollar question isn't it?
I will have to draw that info into my data to see the chances

Haha I just remember him winning about 10 on the trot to pip me last year. Thought I’d go back to see if that was the norm and it was a couple of seasons before I found some Ls

yeah interesting stat, its a fair record in T20 which can be a pot luck sometimes
Of those 10, he chased 8 times and the two close ones, 3 and 6 runs, were batting first

Win over a bot in Youth T20 and a loss to Quad in Senior T20. Coming up against a very fatigued Weekend Hacks in SOD tomorrow. Taking a risk and putting a few inexperienced players in the team.

Got a bit of a belting, wasn’t ever really in it. Dropping five catches didn’t help and was never chasing 193 on hot/crumbling.

The one positive was a five-for for Datta who now becomes my all time leading wicket taker in youths with 87. Didn’t think that record would be broken but the extra season of youths gave him the opportunity.

This season is a bit unique though with 19yos having gotten another crack to increase their stats.

Result: Salisbury Boys XI won by 62 runs

Comfortable win in YOD. My strong F and FM bowlers were too much for them on Uneven.

I batted first and was bowled out for 172 with my middle order batsman Melle making 65 and putting together a couple of vital partnerships with the tail to get me to a defendable score.

In reply we bowled them out for 110 with my spinner Baloyi actually taking the most wickets with 3/26, and 3 of my quicks, Samuelson, Nielsen and Burke getting 2 each.

Luck was on my side today. They were 1/71 with their best two bats still in the shed but three wickets in 11 balls to my RWS changed the course of proceedings. Changed my batting lineup and tactics and it seemed to work today which gives me some confidence going into the second half of the season.

Was an important win that gets me back to the pack. Still in last place do the NRR but on the same points as fourth place and a game behind second place. Very tight league

That's a hell of a league you're in now

I'm maintaining that mid tbl finish which is best I can hope for

End of over 37 (2 runs) - weekend hacks(99-10). 217 runs required from 13 overs. RR 2.68 RRR 16.69

weekend hacks Salisbury Boys XI

Batting - Tail 4,185 4,858
Bowling - Seam 9,556 (30) 11,878 (20)
Bowling - Spin 9,642 (20) 13,061 (30)
Fielding/Keeping 11,190 14,645
Overall 160,000 214,914

Cruisy win against a very fatigued Weekend Hacks. Opens up a one match lead for me in the standings as well. Tricky one next week against Whackers Begin Again who obviously have one of the best managers in the game in my opinion. Will also most likely be on my weakest surface of Uneven if any of his previous home matches are anything to go by.

Been busy for a while, I've just been ducking in to do things quickly.
I sure didn't expect to be top of both leagues and through to the quarter finals for the PC, pardon MKMC.
I just have to hope my seconds can maintain at least close to top for another week while I rest yesterday's heroes, sounds like a good title for a song

@egan, thanks for those stats and certainly hope for a repeat of that this season

@hellbound, I got real lucky in that T20 but happy to take whatever luck I can get, I need it

Good luck to all for the rest of the season
Wish me luck in the MKMC at least :D

@wertaman, best of luck with the rest of your MKMC chase!

There are a bunch of top teams that have now dropped out and I would say your chances look very positive to go all the way.

With the opportunity that is presented to you I think it is worth making the sacrifices with league where needed.

Weather: Sunny
Pitch: Flat

Toss: Coastal Knights won the toss and elected to bowl.

Coastal Knights Whackers Begin Again
Batting - Top Order 12,101 11,196
Batting - Middle Order 9,135 10,122
Batting - Tail 4,694 5,602
Bowling - Seam 9,662 (12) 8,904 (16)
Bowling - Spin 10,489 (8) 8,389 (4)
Fielding/Keeping 13,539 11,655
Overall 189,615 181,051

Result: Coastal Knights won by 7 wickets

With Whackers being a formidable opponent I honestly did not have any hope heading into this match, especially with having to rest several core players who are still recovering from fatigue to be ready for SOD and having to play a bunch of younger players.

Whackers still selected strong players for today's encounter, but ratings are very off due to shattered fatigue, combined with the flat pitch and batting second helped me to get the win in this one.
