hurry up and lose the shield Doc, so I can do an accurate preview with the knowledge of the pitch

Now that I know the sponsor (for lack of a better term) of the Shield is actively waiting for me to lose, that's extra motivation for me to hold on to it.

I could always tell you privately what pitch I'm going to use, but then I would insist that you hold off on publishing the preview, so as not to remove my strategic advantage. However, that would kind of defeat the purpose of the preview. Either way, I expect even if I successfully defend this next challenge, I'll probably lose it in week 14. Therefore, next season you won't have to worry about all my last minute pitch changes messing up the accuracy of the previews.

Yeah, I could not mention the pitch, and "speculate" about it as they might in RL, and purely suggest what players will be key, and what a good score could be.

That sounds like a good compromise, if that would help you with your prediction/analysis. Just shoot me a message the week of the match, and I'll let you know what I'm planning.

I think most other people don't necessarily treat their pitch as a state secret, so as you said, your job will be a bit easier once I relinquish the shield.
