Ruff Royals won by 63 runs

I was worried about this game; I had a bad feeling about it but it turns out that was unwarranted.

We were made to bat first and we got off to a great start with Marwat scoring 67 and Mitchell 59 as we worked our way to an acceptable total of 149 on an uneven pitch. The bowlers were great and kept picking up wickets regularly. Harrison was the pick of the bowlers on his last YT20 match with figures of 3-14.

We regain our 4 point lead at the top.

We didn't make the best start but we recovered albeit a little slowly. It's an okay score on a slow pitch but we're going to need to bowl well throughout. Schmidt got a nice 57 and Dickerson a very respectable 37.

The bowling started great for us as there were 3 wickets in 3 balls in the first over although the last wicket was a run out. At one stage it was 4 wickets for just 1 run. They did recover quite well though and we've only just picked up the 5th wicket.

A bit disappointing after the start our bowlers made. If we had won I think we'd have had a chance at sneaking promotion but we're now 8 points behind and it's more about making sure we stay clear of the relegation zone.

A disappointing performance. The batting was poor which is a worry as my batting is likely to be weaker next week with allrounder Harrison's retirement. Harrison picked up 3-33 in his final youth game.
