P. Massey (lfs) 5-1-23-0, G. Dewer 10 (15b), J. Friend 13 (34b)
End of over 26 (2 runs) - Bathaloner(107-3) RR 4.12

I decided to bowl first on a dry pitch and we've struggled to take wickets. The run rate isn't out of control but with wickets in hand they should be trying to increase that now.

S. Hodges (rfs) 8-1-35-1, H. Amjad 4 (13b), C. Arthur 19 (21b)
End of over 40 (4 runs) - Bathaloner(164-9) RR 4.10

We managed to take a few wickets so the run rate never got too far out of control. It still might not be an easy chase though. The wrist spinners did most of the damage with Ball taking 3-26 and Moses 4-30.

M. Spencer (rfs) 2-0-7-2, A. Clarke 0 (0b), S. Hodges 21 (31b)
End of over 12 (3 runs) - Ruff Royals(51-3). 114 runs required from 28 overs. RR 4.25 RRR 4.07

It wasn't going too badly until we just lost 2 wickets in an over. We're going to need this to be a big partnership but I suspect we're heading for defeat now.

Comfortable win to keep us in a mid table spot, 3 wins clear from relegation so I might be even thinking of some youth prize money at EOS?

Hodges scored 89 not out from 85 balls to save us and it was easily his best innings for us for a long time. He was helped out by an obdurate 33 from Norris.

Joint top with 3 other teams but quite a long way behind on NRR.

tough game today, lost the toss and having a bowl in overcast/slow. Opps had a mega opening partnership of 137, but we've come back into it slightly, 152-3 now off 30. Opps still very much in the driving seat but at least we've picked up a few wickets!!

I'm not sure this is a slow pitch. It was an excellent opening partnership with Kirk eventually out for 81 off 71 balls. At one stage Kirk was on 72 from just 48 balls which is impressive in these conditions.

Looks like these slow pitches today aren't keeping the runs down much.

Lost a couple more wickets but the run rate is still good and Solomon is closing in on a century.

108-3 at drinks, just another 190 required for the win

hopefully we can at least get it within 50 or so, minimize the run rate loss

G. Cox (rf) 10-0-57-2, F. Best 17 (21b), A. McCutchin 0 (1b)
End of over 50 (1 run) - Ruff Royals(298-6) RR 5.96

Very happy with that total; 81 for Kirk and 126 for Solomon.

E. Perry (rm) 5-0-33-2, N. Abdulah 2 (5b), H. Dowsley 21 (39b)
End of over 34 (10 runs) - Lord Rockingham's XI(134-7). 165 runs required from 16 overs. RR 3.94 RRR 10.31

The bowling has been straightforward considering what total we had to defend. A couple of wickets for Perry, a couple for Callaway and 3 for Diaz.

Overcast / Crumbling away, we lost the toss and were made to bat. Had quite a wobble towards the interval of my innings 92-6 after 19 overs but somehow managed to scramble through to 203-10 after 49 overs.
That was defendable and we made it easily in the end
End of over 30 (maiden) - Blue Scouse(95-10). 109 runs required from 20 overs. RR 3.17 RRR 5.45
Jabatito's First XI won by 108 runs
We are third in the league, with 3 wins margin over the relegation spots so we can focus on prizemoney from now on (hopefully...)
